Incorporating the SSF

An SSF may incorporate for liability purposes. Political committees that incorporate only for liability purposes are not considered to be corporations for purposes of the ban on corporate contributions. Note that incorporation of a political committee does not affect the treasurer’s potential liability for the committee’s compliance with campaign finance law.
