Party committee exempt party activity slate card disclaimer example

Party Slate Card.jpg

This is an example of an exempt party activity slate card that paid for by a state party committee. On an exempt activity communication such as slate cards, sample ballots, or get-out-the-vote materials, the disclaimer notice must identify the committee that paid for the message, but need not state whether the communication is authorized by a candidate.

When a coordinated party communication is distributed before the date of the party’s nomination, the communication need only state who paid for it; no authorization statement is required. However, a post-nomination coordinated party communication approved by a candidate or candidate’s committee must state also that it is authorized by the nominee or nominee’s committee.
