DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 4-0 to take the following actions, subject to the Notice of Errata dated February 11, 2025, in MUR 8072: 1. Dismiss the allegation that Thomas Barrett, Tom Barrett for Congress and Daniel Wholihan in his official capacity as treasurer, and Friends of Tom Barrett violated 52 U.S.C. § 30125(e)(1)(A) and 11 C.F.R. §§ 110.3(d) and 300.61 by spending and receiving funds not subject to the limitations, prohibitions, and reporting requirements of the Act in connection with a federal election.2. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated January 29, 2025, subject to the edits circulated by Commissioner Lindenbaum’s Office on March 10, 2025 at 4:21 pm.3. Approve the appropriate letters.4. Close the file effective 30 days from the date the certification of this vote is signed (or on the next business day after the 30th day, if the 30th day falls on a weekend or holiday).
