DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7963:1. Dismiss as a matter of prosecutorial discretion the allegation that Salem for Congress and Zane Knight in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(a) and (b) and 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(a), (b) by failing to file reports of receipts and disbursements and send a letter of admonishment.2. Dismiss as a matter of prosecutorial discretion the allegation that Salem for Congress and Zane Knight in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30120(a) and 11 C.F.R. § 110.11(b) by failing to include a disclaimer on certain fundraising emails and send a letter of admonishment.3. Find no reason to believe that Salem Snow violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30104(a), (b), 30120(a) and 11 C.F.R. §§ 104.3(a), (b), 110.11(b).4. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated March 24, 2023, subject to the proposed edits circulated by the Democratic Caucus @ 9:56 a.m. on July 10, 2023.5. Approve the appropriate letters.6. Close the file.
