DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7789: 1. Dismiss the allegations that Courier Newsroom, Inc., violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30102, 30103, and 30104 by not registering, organizing, and reporting as a political committee. 2. Find no reason to believe that Acronym and Tara McGowan violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30102, 30103, and 30104. 3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated January 20, 2022, subject to the edits last circulated by Commissioner Cooksey’s Office on March 18, 2022 at 3:31 p.m., and further subject to the restoration of the deleted sentence on page 21, “Accordingly, the Commission dismisses the allegation that Courier violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30102, 30103, and 30104 by failing to register, organize, and report as a political committee.” 4. Approve the appropriate letters. 5. Close the file.
