DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7764: 1. Dismiss the allegation that Friends of Dana Balter and Sterling Talob Waters in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114 and 11 C.F.R. § 113.1(g)(1)(i)(I) by converting campaign funds to personal use in connection with salary payments to the candidate. 2. Dismiss the allegation that Dana Balter violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114(b) and 11 C.F.R. § 113.1(g)(1)(i)(I) by converting campaign funds to personal use in connection with salary payments to the candidate. 3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated April 1, 2021. 4. Approve the appropriate letters. 5. Close the file.
