DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7738:1. Accept the conciliation agreement with Americans for Progressive Action USA and Christopher Henry Richardson f/k/a Christopher Henry Aragon in his official capacity as treasurer and Christopher Henry Richardson f/k/a Christopher Henry Aragon in his personal capacity, as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated July 30, 2024.2. Approve the appropriate letters.3. Close the file effective 30 days after the date the certification of this vote is signed (or on the next business day after the 30th day, if the 30th day falls on a weekend or holiday).
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to approve the revised Conciliation Agreement, as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated April 12, 2024.
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to approve the Americans for Progressive Action USA, et al. (Proposed Addendum to Plea Agreement Concerning Conciliation of Civil Violations with the FEC), as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated March 19, 2024.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7738:1. Substitute the name Christopher Henry Aragon in the place of “Unknown Respondent” in the Commission’s previous findings that Unknown Respondent violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) by filing false disclosure reports with the Commission.2. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the Second General Counsel’s Report dated July 20, 2022.3. Approve the subpoena, as recommended in the Second General Counsel’s Report dated July 20, 2022.4. Approve the appropriate letter.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-1 to approve the Subpoenas and Orders to Twitter, Inc., Namecheap, Inc., and Apple Inc., as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated May 4, 2022.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-1 to take the following actions in MUR 7738:1. Find reason to believe that Americans for Progressive Action USA and Evan Jones in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) by filing false disclosure reports.2. Find reason to believe that Evan Jones in his personal capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) by filing false disclosure reports.3. Find reason to believe that Unknown Respondent violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) by filing false disclosure reports.4. Approve the Factual and Legal Analyses, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated November 12, 2020.5. Authorize compulsory process, subject to the discussion at the table and the expectation that the Office of General Counsel will report back in 120 days.6. Approve the appropriate letters.
