DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in the above-captioned matter:1. Accept the proposed Joint Stipulation and Proposed Consent Judgment in settlement of the litigation, as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated December 6, 2024.2. Instruct OGC to add to MUR 7028 the April 16, 2024 Vote Certification, the vote certification to approve the settlement, the Joint Stipulation and Proposed Consent Judgment once filed with the court, and the court’s ultimate consent judgment when issued, as soon as practicable.3. Dismiss MUR 7664, approve the appropriate letters, and close the file in MUR 7664 effective upon the date of the district court’s entry of judgement in FEC v. Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local No. 9, Civ No. 24-1450 (D.D.C.).
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following action:Hold MUR 7664 in abeyance for an additional period of 120 days or until the conclusion of the District Court litigation in MUR 7028, whichever occurs first, as recommended in the Memorandum to the Commission dated August 20, 2024.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-1 to:MUR 7028a. Direct the Office of General Counsel to institute a civil action in the US District Court, for the district of New Jersey pursuant to 52 U.S.C. § 30109(a)(6) to enforce the conciliation agreement in MUR 7028 Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union No. 9, et al.REDACT....
