DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 4-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7597: 1. Accept the signed conciliation agreement with the Texas Democratic Party and Gilberto Hinojosa in his official capacity as treasurer, as recommended in the Memorandum from the Acting General Counsel dated July 12, 2019. 2. Approve the appropriate letters. 3. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 4-0 to take the following actions in MUR 7597: 1. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the Memorandum from the Acting General Counsel dated May 6, 2019. 2. Approve the Conciliation Agreement, as recommended in the Memorandum from the Acting General Counsel dated May 6, 2019. 3. Approve the appropriate letter.
The Commission failed by a vote of 2-2 to: RR 17L-36 (Texas Democratic Party) a. Open a MUR in RR 17L-36. b. Find reason to believe that the Texas Democratic Party and Gilberto Hinojosa in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(a) and (b) and 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(a) and (b). c. Enter into conciliation prior to a finding of probable cause to believe. d. Direct the Office of General Counsel to circulate a proposed conciliation agreement ... REDACTED ... e.
