DISPOSITION: The Commission failed by a vote of 2-2 to: a. Find reason to believe that Strickland for Senate and Michael J. Johrendt in his official capacity as treasurer and Senate Majority PAC and Rebecca Lambe in her official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30116, 30118(a), and 30104(b). b. Direct the Office of General Counsel to draft an appropriate Factual and Legal Analysis. c. Authorize the use of compulsory process as necessary. d. Approve the appropriate letters.
The Commission failed by a vote of 2-2 to: a. Find no reason to believe that Ted Strickland violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30116(f) or 30118(a). b. Find no reason to believe that Strickland for Senate and Michael J. Johrendt in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30116(f) or 30118(a). c. Find no reason to believe that Senate Majority PAC and Rebecca Lambe in her official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. §§ 30116(a) or 30118(a). d. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel’s Report dated October 24, 2017 and as last circulated by the Offices of Commissioners Hunter and Petersen on April 5, 2018. e. Approve the appropriate letters. f. Close the file.
