Dismiss with a cautionary letter the allegation that Jason Chaffetz violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114(b)(1) by using a Committee-owned vehicle for personal purposes. b. Find no reason to believe Jason Chaffetz violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114(b)(1) in connection with the Committee's reimbursement of childcare expenses and personal credit charges relating to campaign activity. c. Find no reason to believe that Friends of Jason Chaffetz or Bruce Garfield in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b)(5)-(6), 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(b)(4)(i), or 11 C.F.R. § 104.9(a). d. Find no reason to believe that Beehive PAC or Bruce Garfield in his official capacity as treasurer violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b)(5) or 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(b)(3)(i). e. Find no reason to believe that Friends of Jason Chaffetz, Beehive PAC, or Bruce Garfield in his official capacity as treasurer of those committees violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(b) or 11 C.F.R. § 104.3. f. Find no reason to believe that Rock Chalk Media LLC or Alex Chaffetz violated the Act or regulations. g. Find no reason to believe that Beehive Victory Fund and Bruce Garfield in his official capacity as treasurer violated the Act or regulations.
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to: a. Find no reason to believe Jason Chaffetz violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114(b)(1) in connection with the Committee's reimbursement of hotel expenses that are not in Washington, D.C., specifically the St. Regis Hotel.
The Commission failed by a vote of 3-3 to: a. Find no reason to believe Jason Chaffetz violated 52 U.S.C. § 30114(b)(1) in connection with the Committee's reimbursement of hotel expenses that are in Washington, D.C.
