The Commission failed by a vote of 3-3 to: a. Find reason to believe that Crossroads GPS violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104 (formerly 2 U.S.C. § 434) as a political committee that failed to disclose the communications at issue in this matter in its disclosure reports. b. Find reason to believe that Crossroads GPS violated 52 U.S.C. § 30120 (formerly 2 U.S.C. 441d) by failing to provide the appropriate disclaimer on the communications at issue in this matter.
The Commission failed by a vote of 3-3 to: a. Find no reason to believe that Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(c)(2) and 11 C.F.R. § 109.10(e)(1)(vi). b. Dismiss in the exercise of prosecutorial discretion the allegation that Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies violated 52 U.S.C. § 30104(c)(1). c. Close the file as to Steven Law, Karl Rove, Haley Barbour and Caleb Crosby. d. Approve the appropriate letters. e. Close the file.
