DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6 - 0 to take the following actions in MUR 6527:1. Accept the signed conciliation agreement with John Edwards for President and Lora Haggard, in her official capacity as treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel's Memorandum dated April 4, 2012.2. Approve the appropriate letters.3. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in Audit Referral 11-04:1. Open a MUR in AR 11-04.2. Find reason to believe that John Edwards for President and Julius Chambers, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 434(b)(5)(D) and 11 C.F.R. § 104.3(b)(4)(iii), by failing to properly itemize loan repayments in its April 2008 Monthly Report.3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated January 6, 2012.4. Approve the Conciliation Agreement, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated January 6, 2012.5. Approve the appropriate letter.
