DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5-1 to take the following actions in MUR 6235:1.Accept the conciliation agreement with Cannon for Congress and Christopher Cannon, in his official capacity as treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel's Memorandum dated March 23, 2011.2. Approve the appropriate letters.3.Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in RAD Referral 09L-06:1. Open a MUR in RAD Referral 09L-06.2. Find reason to believe that Cannon for Congress and Lynn Gilbert, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 441a(f) and 11 CFR §§ 102.9(e)(3), 110.1(b)(3)(i), and 110.2(b)(3)(i).3. Enter into pre-probable cause conciliation with Cannon for Congress and Lynn Gilbert, in her official capacity as treasurer, prior to a finding of probable cause to believe.4. Approve the proposed Conciliation Agreement, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated October 13, 2009, subject to revisions to correspond to the modifications approved in the Factual and Legal Analysis.5. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated October 13, 2009, subject to the modifications previously circulated and pursuant to the meeting discussion.6. Approve the appropriate letters.
