DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5 - 0 to take the following actions in MUR 6217: 1. Dismiss the complaint?s allegations as to Commerce, Hope, Innovation & Progress PAC and Danna S. Lane, in her official capacity as treasurer. 2. Dismiss the complaint?s allegations as to Haley?s PAC and Henry Barbour, in his official capacity as treasurer. 3. Dismiss the complaint?s allegations as to Chip Pickering. 4. Find no reason to believe that David Vitter for U.S. Senate and William Vanderbrook, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated the Act or the Commission?s regulations in this matter. 5. Approve the Factual and Legal Analyses, as recommended in the First General Counsel?s Report dated March 17, 2010, subject to the following revisions pursuant to the meeting discussion: a) Make the changes previously circulated with respect to the Factual and Legal Analysis for CHIP PAC; and b) Direct the Office of General Counsel to make corresponding changes to the Factual and Legal Analysis for Haley?s PAC. 6. Approve the appropriate letters. 7. Close the file as to all respondents.
