SUBJECT: Contributions-In the name of another

DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in the above-captioned matter:1. Open a new MUR with respect to Pre-MUR 456 and merge the new MUR into MUR 5955.2. Find reason to believe that Dr. Jose Valdez knowingly and willfully violated 2 U.S.C.ยงยง 441f and 441a(a).3. Take no action at this time with respect to Mike Ramseier, Jamie Ramseier, Steve Melody, Joan Melody, Rosario Chavez, WellPoint, Inc. and Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee, Inc., and John Gross, in his official capacity as treasurer.4. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated June 10, 2008.5. Authorize the use of compulsory process, subject to a 48-hour circulation by the General Counsel of the compulsory process to be used.6. Approve the appropriate letter.
