DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in MUR 5865: 1. Find no reason to believe that the New Trier Democratic Organization and Marvin Miller, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. §§ 434(b) and 441a(a). 2. Find no reason to believe that Dan Seals for Congress Committee and Harry Pascal, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. §§ 434(b) and 441a(f). 3. Dismiss the allegations in the complaint that the New Trier Democratic Organization and Marvin Miller, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 441d and send an admonishment letter. 4. Approve the Factual and Legal Analyses, as recommended in the First General Counsel's Report dated July 11, 2007. 5. Approve the appropriate letters. 6. Close the file.
