DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in MUR 5819:1. Take no further action with respect to the United States Chamber of Commerce other than admonishment.2. Approve the appropriate letter.3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the General Counsel's Report #2 dated October 5, 2007.4. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 4-0 on an amended pre-meeting tally, to take the following actions in MUR 5819:1.Find reason to believe that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce violated 2 U.S.C. § 441b(a).2. Find reason to believe that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce violated 2 U.S.C. § 441d(a)(3).3. Find no reason to believe that Case for Senate or James Case, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated the Act in connection with this matter and close the file as to them.4.........................REDACTED.........................5.
