DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 6-0 to take the following actions in MUR 5697: 1. Accept the conciliation agreement with the Missouri Democratic State Committee and Rod Anderson, in his official capacity as Treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel?s Report #2 dated May 5, 2006. 2. Approve the appropriate letter, as recommended in the General Counsel?s Report #2 dated May 5, 2006. 3. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 6 - 0 to take the following actions in Audit Referral #05-09: 1. Open a MUR in AR 05-09.2. Find reason to believe that the Missouri Democratic State Committee, and Rod Anderson, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 441a(a)(1)(C) and 11 C.F.R.§ 110.4(c)(3) of the Act by accepting excessive contributions, including excessive anonymous cash contributions. 3. Find reason to believe that the Missouri Democratic State Committee, and Rod Anderson, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 441a(a)(1)(C) and 11 C.F.R. § 116.5 by accepting excessive contributions in the form of untimely reimbursed staff advances. 4. Find reason to believe the Missouri Democratic State Committee, and Rod Anderson, in his official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 432(c) and 11 C.F.R. § 102.9(b) by failing to keep proper records of its disbursements. 5. .....................REDACTED........................6.
