DISPOSITION: The Commission decided by a vote of 5 - 0 to take the following actions in MUR 5480: 1. Accept the Joint Conciliation Agreement with Liane Levetan, Liane Levetan for Congress and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer and Liane Levetan for Senate and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel?s Report #2 dated September 29, 2005. 2. Approve the appropriate letters. 3. Close the file.
The Commission decided by a vote of 5-0 to take the following actions in MUR 5480: 1. Find reason to believe that Liane Levetan, Levetan for Senate and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, and Levetan for Congress and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 441i(e)(1)(A) and 11 CFR § 110.3(d). 2. Find reason to believe that Liane Levetan for Congress and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 434(b)(3)(B). 3. Reject the finding of reason to believe that Liane Levetan for Congress and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 434(b)(5) and 11 CFR § 104.3(b)(4); and instead, take no action pursuant to prosecutorial discretion. 4. Find reason to believe that Liane Levetan for Congress and Dorothy E. Williams, in her official capacity as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. § 434(b)(4) and 11 CFR § 104.3(d), but take no further action. 5. Approve the appropriate Factual and Legal Analyses, subject to revision pursuant to the meeting discussion. 6. Approve the appropriate joint Conciliation Agreement with a consolidated civil penalty of $9600. 7.Approve the appropriate letters.
