Decided by vote 5-0 to 1. Find RTB that the Jewish Press, Inc. made a prohibited contribution to Dear 2000, Inc. in violation of 2 U.S.C. 441b(a). 2. Find RTB that Dear 2000, Inc. and Abraham Roth, as treasurer, accepted a prohibited contribution in violation of 2 U.S.C. 441b(a). 3. Approve the Factual and Legal Analyses, as recommended in the GC Report #2 dated March 14, 2003. 4. Approve the appropriate letters, as recommended in the GC Report #2 dated March 14, 2003.
Decided by vote 6-0 to: (1) Find RTB that Dear 2000, Inc., and Abraham Roth, as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. 434(b)(4)(A) and 434(b)(5)(A). (2) Authorize Subpoena and Order to Dear 2000, Inc., and Abraham Roth, as treasurer, as recommended in the General Counsel Report dated February 5, 2002; subject to the following revisions, consistent with discussion at the table: a) Include as the initial interrogatory, statements which read "Identify persons involved in arranging for and purchasing print advertisements in connection with the Dear 2000 general election campaign. For each person identified, state his/her title and responsibilities." b) Reorder the original interrogatories in the sequence proposed by the GC Office (#3, #2, #1, #4-#7). (3) Authorize Subpoena and Order to the Jewish Press. (4) Authorize deposition subpoenas to Abraham Roth, Heshy Katz, Andrew Hahn, Susan Stakofsky, Alex Lutz, Nick Lageman, James Cunningham, Scott Garrison, Bella Vais, and Charna Weiss. (5) Approve the appropriate letters, as recommended in the General Counsel Report dated February 5, 2002.
