DISPOSITION: Decided by vote 6-0 to: (1) Accept the signed counterpropsed conciliation agreement in which Friends for Harry Reid and Clifford R. Beadle, as treasurer, admit a violation of 2 U.S.C. 434(a)(6)(A), as recommended in the General Counsel Report dated July 6, 2000. (2) . Take no further action against Friends for Harry Reid and its treasurer, with regard to the Commission's RTB findings that they violated 2 U.S.C. 432(b)(1) and (c)(3), 434(b)(3)(A) and (E), 434(b)(2)(G), and 11 C.F.R. 102.8(a), 104.3(a)(3)(vii)(B) and 104.8(a). (3) Close the file. (4) Approve the appropriate letter, as recommended in the General Counsel Report #3 dated July 6, 2000.
Decided by vote 6-0 to: (1) Find RTB that Friends for Harry Reid and Clifford R. Beadle, as treasurer, violated 2 U.S.C. 434(a)(6)(A). (2) Enter into conciliation with the Respondents prior to a finding of PCTB. (3) Approve the Factual and Legal Analysis, as recommended in the General Counsel Report dated March 24, 2000. (4) Approve the proposed conciliation agreement, as recommended in the General Counsel Report dated March 24, 2000. (5) Approve the appropriate letter.
