DISPOSITION: Decided by vote 6-0 on an amended pre-meeting tally vote, to take the following actions with respect to MUR 4545: (1) Find no RTB that the Clinton/Gore '96 Primary Committee, Inc., and Joan Pollitt, as treasurer, violated any provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, 2 U.S.C. 431-455, the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 9031-9042, or the Commission's regulations with respect to the allegations in MUR 4545; (2) Find no RTB that the United States of America violated any provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, 2 U.S.C. 431-455, the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 9031-9042, or the Commission's regulations with respect to the allegations in MUR 4545; (3) Find no RTB that the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) violated any provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, 2 U.S.C. 431-455, the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 9031-9042, or the Commission's regulations with respect to the allegations in MUR 4545; (4) Find no RTB that Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) violated any provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, 2 U.S.C. 431-455, the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 9031-9042, or the Commission's regulations with respect to the allegations in MUR 4545; (5) Find no RTB that CSX Corporation violated any provision of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, 2 U.S.C. 431-455, the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 9031-9042, or the Commission's regulations with respect to the allegations in MUR 4545; 6. Approve the appropriate letters; and (7) Close the file.
