Member Labor PAC Webinar

On March 27, 2019, the Commission will offer a one-day online seminar for membership and labor organizations and their political action committees (PACs).

Commission staff will conduct several technical workshops on the federal campaign finance laws affecting membership organizations, labor organizations, and their PACs. Workshops are designed for those seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of the law as well as for those more experienced in campaign finance law.

Attendees can choose one of two options. Option 1 includes three sessions: a morning session, Basics for Beginners, which will introduce federal campaign finance laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to those new to federal committees; and a two-part Member/Labor PAC Operations webinar in the afternoon, which will go into much more detail on fundraising and disclosure rules that apply to member/labor PACs. Option 2, for those more experienced in member/labor PACs, includes just the two afternoon sessions.

Each training session will be online only. An email containing a link to workshop materials, technical information and additional instructions will be sent to registered participants the day before the webinar.

Registration information

The cost for Option 1 (Basics & Operations) is $80. The cost for Option 2 (Operations only) is $60. To register, complete the registration form and make payment by debit, credit card or automated clearing house (ACH) withdrawal using the FEC Training Payment page on Pay.gov (the government's secure portal for online payments). A full refund will made for all cancellations received before 5 p.m. Eastern on Friday, March 22; no refunds will be made for cancellations received after that time. Additionally, please note that refunds of automated clearinghouse (ACH) payments are not readily available.

Note that registration for the webinar closes 15 minutes before the workshop begins.
