Matters Under Review (MURs)

By law, FEC must attempt to resolve its enforcement cases or Matters Under Review (MURs) through a confidential investigative process that culminates in a conciliation agreement with the respondent(s). Should that process fail, both the Commission and the respondent(s) have the option to pursue the matter to court. Links to additional information on the enforcement process and to closed MUR files appear below.
