
The Human Resources Office provides policy guidance and operational support to managers and staff in all areas of human resources management. The office plays a critical role in helping the Commission meet strategic performance goals by attracting, developing, and retaining a highly qualified, diverse workforce and providing results-driven approaches to position management and classification, pay administration and compensation, performance management and human resource development. The office also provides expert consultation regarding employee benefits and wellness and family-friendly programs that sustain and enhance the employer-employee relationship. Additionally, the office administers the Commission's labor-management relations program. Finally, the Human Resources Office processes all personnel actions and maintains all official personnel records for Commission employees.

Judy McLaughlin served as the FEC's Acting Director for the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity from February 2009 to February 2010. Prior to joining the FEC in 2008, Judy McLaughlin was an attorney at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) where she provided legal advice and representation on employment, labor, and administrative law issues. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. McLaughlin was a human resources specialist at OPM. She served as an agency officer providing advice, guidance, and technical expertise to Federal agencies on the selection, development, and management of Federal executives in the Senior Executive Service and other executive personnel systems government-wide. She also served as the program manager of the Presidential Rank Awards Program. |
